What is the protected account buffer?
The protected account buffer is a mandatory safety cushion that must remain in your funded account. Only funds above the required baseline balance are available for withdrawal, subject to all other payout conditions.
What is the required account balance for each account size?
Account Size | Required Account Balance |
|---|---|
$10,000 | $10,700 |
$25,000 | $26,100 |
$50,000 | $52,100 |
$100,000 | $103,100 |
$200,000 | $206,100 |
$300,000 | $309,100 |
How is my available withdrawal amount calculated?
Your available withdrawal amount is calculated by subtracting the required baseline balance from your current account balance. Available amount = Current balance − Required baseline balance. The resulting amount represents the maximum balance excess available before applying the applicable withdrawal caps, profit split, and other payout conditions.
Can I withdraw funds that would reduce my account below the required buffer?
No. Your account balance after the requested withdrawal must remain at or above the required baseline balance.
Can you provide an example of the protected buffer calculation?
Consider a $50,000 account with a required baseline balance of $52,100 and a current balance of $53,500.
Current balance: $53,500
Required baseline balance: $52,100
Balance available above the buffer: $1,400
Trader's 80% share of $1,400: $1,120
Remaining account balance after deducting $1,400: $52,100
This illustrates the buffer calculation and the 80/20 split. Actual approval remains subject to the applicable withdrawal caps and all other rules.
Are there limits on my first withdrawals?
Yes. A user's first five withdrawals may not exceed 3% of the initial account balance. After the fifth withdrawal, this 3% cap is removed.
Is the 3% withdrawal cap removed after my fifth withdrawal?
Yes. The 3% cap applies to the first five withdrawals and is removed after the fifth withdrawal. All other applicable payout conditions must still be satisfied.
